Standard Insurance Co., Inc., the leading motorcar insurance company, has once again been accorded a national-scale claims-paying ability rating of A(PH) (single A); and, an international scale investment rating of BB (double B), with both credit ratings having stable outlooks. These ratings were conferred by the Global Credit Rating Co. (GCR), a highly reputable rating agency operating across four continents.
GCR’s Public Credit Rating Announcement last November 14 summarized its rationale for the ratings, citing Standard Insurance’s very strong level of capitalization and liquidity, strong business profile with sound earnings capacity. Additionally, the Company’s reinsurance counterparty strength is considered robust, with superior reinsurance facilities from some of the world’s highly rated international reinsurers that have buffered the Company from the impact of highly severity losses on the past years’ catastrophic events.
